Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

The Al(z)-Zahra Shia Education Society of Greater Cleveland was established by a group of Momineen on the auspicious occasion of Eid e Milad al-Nabi (P) and the birth anniversary of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (AS), as an Alim-centric Shia Ithna Asha’ri society serving our community.

We are a community of the Ithna Asha’ri (Twelver) school, holding fast to the Qur’an and the Ahlulbait (AS), the Thaqalayn that the Holy Prophet (P) left in our trust. Our attachment to this Hablillah is through the Maraj’e al-Uzaam and through a qualified, practicing local Alim e Deen. Allah (SWT) commands us to hold fast together to the rope of Allah and not to be divided (Surah Aal-e-Imran, 3:103), and it is around that command that this society is built.

Constitutionally, the Society is always led by a seminary-trained and otherwise qualified Alim, who holds full authority over its religious activities and affairs in accordance with Shia law, with oversight from a supervisory board of three religious scholars. The logistical work of the Society is carried out by its eligible members.

What we do

Alhamdulillah, our classes are already underway and include:

  • Akhlaq (Ethics)
  • Qur’an and Tafseer
  • Dua-e-Kumayl and its Tafseer
  • Aqa’ed (Usool e Deen)
  • Ahkaam (Furoo e Deen)

Our commitments

Religious education of the community in accordance with the Holy Qur’an, Ahkam, Hadith, Akhlaq and Duas. Collaboration with all communities, institutions and groups, accommodating programs in any language that serve to spread the message of our Ma’sumeen (AS). Strengthening ourselves against the enemies of the Ma’sumeen (AS) through self-improvement and through bonds of friendship and brotherhood.

Our agenda is a positive one, and every participant is wholeheartedly welcome. In short, we wish to be among the best possible servants of our Imam al-Asr (AJ).

We request your participation and your duas.
